Es lassen sich in der Cloud ja auch Bilder von Wolken speichern. Oder von Licht, im Sinne von Wetter: Licht, das auf oder durch Wolken fällt; Wind, der den Regen peitscht; Licht, das die Tropfen glitzern lässt; Wolken, aus denen das Wasser stürzt. Kim, die offenbar herumkommt in der Welt, montiert Clips, die sie zwischen 2012 und 2022 in ihre Cloud geschickt hat; sie regnen sozusagen herunter, und es regnet auch Katzen und Hunde, die zeigen, wie Neugier ausschaut und Spaßhaben geht. Although GOO-REUM-UH-RO-BOO-TUH is bookended with quotes both scientific and literary about clouds, the most salient cloud here is Kim Minjung’s iCloud, a personal archive of over 9000 video snippets she began to excise and rework when her academic account faced deletion. Locations around the world in rain, snow and sunshine, the play of light and shadow across different settings and surfaces, animals of all kinds, landscapes and endless skies are all edited together with easy, billowing grace: “clouds that linger for a moment, drift slowly and pass by in a flash.” (James Lattimer)
