Although GOO-REUM-UH-RO-BOO-TUH is bookended with quotes both scientific and literary about clouds, the most salient cloud here is Kim Minjung’s iCloud, a personal archive of over 9000 video snippets she began to excise and rework when her academic account faced deletion. Locations around the world in rain, snow and sunshine, the play of light and shadow across different settings and surfaces, animals of all kinds, landscapes and endless skies are all edited together with easy, billowing grace: “clouds that linger for a moment, drift slowly and pass by in a flash.” (James Lattimer)

This film will be shown as part of the screening CLOUDS AND MEMORIES.
