Dear colleagues and friends of the Viennale,
The 64th edition of the Viennale will open on October 22, 2026, with the traditional Opening Gala at Gartenbaukino and will come to a close on November 3.
The summer press conference, at which Viennale Director Eva Sangiorgi will offer a first preview of the festival program, will take place on August 28, 2026, at 9:30 a.m. at Volksgarten Pavillon.
The main program press conference will be held in the early evening of October 13; the exact time will be announced in due course.
The accreditation period for the 2026 festival will begin in the first days of September. The exact date will be announced at the summer press conference at the end of August. Further information on accreditation will then be made available here on the website.
