As an international film festival, it is an essential concern for us to act in a future-oriented and sustainable manner. In particular, areas of production and event organization should therefore be designed to be as environmentally friendly and resource-saving as possible. For this purpose, the City of Vienna's Environmental Advisory Service awards the title EcoEvent for sustainable events.
We are pleased that all Viennale festival cinemas and two of the cinema buffets as well as the Viennale Zentrale meet the EvoEvent criteria again this year. In addition to existing laws and regulations, we continue to work on organizing the Viennale in a sustainable way and keeping the environmental impact as low as possible.
