Ein Film, der (fast) ausschließlich aus Text besteht, braucht ein Publikum, das mitmacht: Geleitet von Schrift (Weiß auf Schwarz) und Tonspur (Tekkno Track) kann es sich Bilder selbst imaginieren (muss aber nicht). Die Wiederholung von Satzfragmenten, ihre Frequenz, die Buchstabengröße akzentuieren Drama und Wichtigkeit. Und die Geschichte hat es in sich: Eine Beziehung von ihren Anfängen im quasi-anonymen Sex über immer tiefere emotionale Verwicklungen bis hin zu einem Asylverfahren, dessen Übergriffigkeiten sich die Partner gemein sam stellen. A long story told in simple sentences: they meet, they have sex, they like each other. One of them is also seeking asylum, with the state invading every corner of life. It is as if the state has taken all the images too, images that are merely evoked in the words dancing on the screen instead, describing and narrating. We imagine the fun, the love, the uncertainty and the panic. We feel fear, but worry not: traces of light and beauty will come, moving in and out of the image. It’s not all bad news in this world.
