The 58th Viennale came to a close on Sunday with the gala screening of THE TRUFFLE HUNTERS by Michael Dweck and Gregory Kershaw.

The “Bonus Track” is back! On the second Saturday of the festival, the Viennale will once again screen in the afternoon at the Gartenbaukino the film from the program that sold out the fastest.
From October 25 to November 1, the Festival of Austrian Film will present the Diagonale’20 Collection – “The Unfinished”, featuring six feature films and a program of eight short films, at the Viennale’s festival cinemas.
On October 13, the press conference for the Viennale 2020 took place in the presence of City Councillor for Culture Veronica Kaup-Hasler. MISS MARX by Susanna Nicchiarelli is the opening film of the 58th Viennale. It is a film that celebrates the spirit of anunconventional and determined woman, Eleanor Marx, the youngest daughter of the great economist Karl Marx. After his death, she continued her father’s work with dedication and intelligence, fighting for workers’ and women’s rights and for the end of exploitation in factories. Eleanor was a brilliant woman who devoted her life to two extreme passions – work and the man she loved – and who had to deal with the painful compromises that came along with it.
