Ganze Tage zusammen

After last year’s CASANOVAGEN, Luise Donschen returns to the Viennale with a new short that moves closer towards the narrative, even if her penchant for fragmentation and dispersal remain very much intact. While the film does indeed tell the story of a teenage girl finding out she no longer suffers from epilepsy and must therefore move to a new school, it’s as much about exploring the people and spaces that make up her realm of experience, in an unceasing flow of stunningly composed images: at once an oblique portrait of a real-life institution and those at home there and a hushed study of disability, community, and belonging.
