L' Arc d’Iris, souvenir d’un jardin

Three weeks of hiking in one of the highest-altitude places on earth: the Spiti Valley in the Himalayas. Two sequences of flowers picked like in a herbarium, emphasized by the voice of villages and the chants of monasteries. Given the striking beauty of the scenery and its inhabitants, we didn’t think we would spend so much time with our eyes turned towards the ground. We had the idea of the scale right there on site, as we were filming flowers. We constantly had to lie down on our bellies to better capture the modest flowers in relation to the immensity of the scenery, until we reversed the scale from the monumental to the miniscule, from the unknown to the familiar.
