(Robert Weixlbaumer)

Dieser Film läuft im Rahmen des Screenings Verses From Home.

Ali is an Iranian writer living in exile. Despite enjoying a certain degree of comfort, Ali’s sense of displacement becomes ever more overwhelming, crystallised by language barriers and solitude. Obliged to find new sounds and words to express his feelings, Ali becomes increasingly aware of the impossibility of starting a new life when the old one is still affecting his emotions. Based on Mohammad Rasoulof’s own experience of exile, SENSE OF WATER is a lucid, precise exploration of the emotional toll paid by the millions of people forced to live in displacement.
