„Bitte, macht mir das nach.“ Christoph Schlingensief selbst gefiel die Vorstellung, dass er schon und gerade als Kind das Metier des Films und des Theaters hervorragend beherrschte. Diese Kompilation umfasst somit auch Genrehandwerk (EINE KLEINE KRIMINALGESCHICHTE) ebenso wie Autorenkino (KURZER DREH MIT CHRISTOPH SCHLINGENSIEF), und der FAHNENSCHWENKERFILM gibt Vorahnungen späterer Experimente mit dem Animatografen. „Bitte, macht mir das nach.“ Besser und liebenswürdiger kann ein Gesamtwerk kaum beginnen.

Christoph Schlingensief wasn’t shy at all, seeing the tools of his father as a possibility to perform and fictionalize his own existence, as one can see in this, his first film: “The camera became an extension of his body: I film, therefore I am.”  (Klaus Biesenbach)
