Double Vision pairs a washed-up Taiwanese cop with an equally burnt-out FBI agent as they search for brain-altering black fungus, evil Taoist sects, supernatural forces and a psychotic serial killer on the prowl in Taipei. «Man is worse than any figment of our imagination», insists rational American FBI scientist Kevin Richter after hes sent to Taipei to investigate seemingly otherworldly muders. Dirctor Chen racks up the tension with an assured, controlled tone, letting the fear seep from screen to seat, until only chilling, screaming horror remains.
