Behind Jim Jarmusch

It’s springtime in sunny Sevilla. Léa Rinaldi, camera in hand, shadows Jim Jarmusch and his crew filming THE LIMITS OF CONTROL. For one of the few times in his career, the author of STRANGER THAN PARADISE and DEAD MAN has allowed a camera, during three days to breach into his creative arena. From the labyrinthine alleys of Sevilla to its orange-tree shaded squares, or to a bunker-like studio, Léa Rinaldi leads us into the set pulse.
BEHIND JIM JARMUSCH is a personal film, a “home-made movie” conceived and seen through by Rinaldi from script to post-production. It reminds us that filmmaking is above all a craft. Far from being an usual promotional making-of, it is an original, free-minded take on independent filmmaking, or rather on an independent filmmaker. It explores the vagrancies, the coincidences as well as the randomness and its shares of revelations that are at the core of Jim Jarmusch’s cinema.

In the presence of Léa Rinaldi.

With TRAVELLING AT NIGHT WITH JIM JARMUSCH.
