Una giornata nell'archivio Piero Bottoni

Archivists Giancarlo Consonni and Graziella Tonon introduce us to Piero Bottoni, the 20th century Italian architect and social planner whose practice was devoted to the improvement of living conditions for Turin’s working class. Newly digitised films show Bottoni’s construction and design process, including the construction of the QT8 workers’ community on the outskirts of the city, a project that culminated in the creation of an artificial mountain, Monte Stella. Massimo D’Anolfi and Martina Parenti bring the achievements of this utopian modernist into sharp focus. (Michael Sicinski)
