Un movimiento extraño
An Odd Turn
The Argentinian relationship with the dollar is a mystery to all. This currency as fictional as every other is ever-present in conversations, fears, aspirations, moral stances. It touches everything in this film, including the security guard at an art museum. At night, she roams the halls, illuminating artworks with her flashlight like a spotlight or scanner. The film imitates her: Lucrecia moves through the city touching people and places, and connections form between them, creating a perfect miniature narrative where desire circulates like the dollar, always on the rise.
