Un Movimiento Extraño
Nahuel Palenque, born in Buenos Aires, specialized in Electronic Arts at UNTREF and sound at ENERC. His career spans films from various countries, including Argentina, Chile, Brazil, El Salvador, the Dominican Republic, Costa Rica, Bolivia, Austria, Germany, and Korea. In 2017, he received the Best Sound Design award at the Diagonale Film Festival for his work on Los Decentes by Lukas Rinner. In 2018, he was nominated for the Fénix Awards for the sound design of Cocote by Nelson Carlo de los Santos Arias. In 2019, Las Facultades by Eloísa Solaas and in 2023, Arturo a los 30 by Martín Shanly won the Best Sound Design award at the Buenos Aires Film Festival (BAFICI). In the Dominican Republic, the film Carajita won Best Sound at ADOPRECIR. Among his most recent works are Algo viejo, algo nuevo, algo prestado directed by Hernán Rosselli, which premiered at the Directors’ Fortnight in Cannes; PEPE directed by Nelson Carlo de los Santos Arias, which won the Silver Bear for Best Director in the Official Competition of the Berlin International Film Festival; Un Movimiento Extraño directed by Francisco Lezama, which won the Golden Bear for Best Short Film in Berlin; and Memorias de un cuerpo que arde by Antonella Sudasassi, which won the Panorama Audience Award at the same festival.
