Un dragón de cien cabezas

Through a process of bio-sonification, the banana trees grown as monoculture crops on the Canary Islands evoke the atmosphere of the mythical Garden of Hesperides, whose immortal fruit are guarded by a hundred-headed dragon. In their new work, Helena Girón and Samuel M. Delgado continue their exploration of the intricate ties between mythology and materialism, transforming ecological and historical trauma into a lush sonic landscape; each leaf dares to ripple beyond the flat screen, carving a space hewn from myth, matter, nature and history.
