Meine Herren! Nach Lotte Lenya und Nina Simone interpretiert diesmal vom Gröller in ihrem Sprechgesang die „Seeräuber-Jenny“, welche sich an allen Männern rächen möchte, die je auf sie, die niedere Hotelfachkraft, herabsahen, und sich deshalb auf einem Piratenschif „mit acht Segeln“ in die Freiheit hinausträumt. Zum Text von Brecht/Weill laufen Touristen über die Postkartenflussbrücke, wonach der Film – ohne das Getös von fünfzig Kanonen zum Fotofilm mutierend – auf das Gesicht von Angela Crupano fokussiert und fragt: „Was lächelt die so bös?“ (Roman Scheiber)

USCITA DI SICUREZZA consists of visual notes taken at a lookout point in Italy and “Seeräuber-Jenny” by Kurt Weill and Bertolt Brecht, as sung by the filmmaker herself. The song takes on a more literal meaning halfway through the film when the images of passing tourists suddenly give way to a shot of a solemn female worker, who stares back at the camera defiantly. With Friedl vom Gröller’s distinctive dry humour, the film cleverly updates the radical content of the 1928 ballad for the context of present-day overtourism and the exploitation of (woman) workers it creates.
