Born in Berlin in 1967 as Jenny Rosa Schily. Daughter of Otto Schily, former co-founder of the German Alliance '90/The Greens and later SPD politician and great-granddaughter of Bruno Taut, Berlin architect and city planner, known for his architectural glass fantasies. The German film and theater actress also has been working as a speaker for audio book productions. After her interrupted Slavic studies, she completed a drama training at the Academy of Dramatic Arts Ernst Busch in Berlin. She made her debut at the Dresden State Theatre as Emilia Galotti. Then she worked for Schauspiel Frankfurt and was an ensemble member at the Theater am Turm. From 2002 to 2006 she was engaged in acting at the Schaubühne am Lehniner Platz in Berlin. Since 2010 she has been performing at the Maxim Gorki Theater. Her first major TV appearance she had in the 1996 film adaptation of the life story of Roy Black. One of her major film roles is the one in Volker Schlöndorff's THE SILENCE AFTER THE SHOT (2000), which in 2000 celebrated its premiere during the competition at the Berlin International Film Festival.
