Diving into the emptiness inside a football fan after a lost match, Ala Eddine Slim explores the non- places of defeat. It is not by accident that Ali, a uncannily silent supporter of a football team, meets a stray dog while he walks through the abandoned and scarcely lit area of a post-match Tunis. He is a stray dog himself searching for a place to exist. Football means everything for those staying outside in the cold after leaving the stadium. Frustration or joy lingers on faces of addicts that can only wait until the next week. Then, for ninety minutes loneliness will maybe disappear again. (Patrick Holzapfel)
