The film isnt about religion. Instead, Silence Between Two Thoughts addresses the dilemma of people whose religious beliefs are exploited in order to rule them. Religion is the backdrop for everything in life in the region where I shot the film. Its impossible to make a film about that region without addressing religion. Especially when it is misused to deceive people. So the film offers a humanistic view of a violent and tragic situation. (Babak Payami)
