Una semana solos tells the story of group of kids aged between seven and fourteen who belong to Argentinean upper class and live locked up in the so called gated neighborhoods or country clubs, isolated from the rest of society. This is a story that poses questions about how this specific class of Argentinean society is raising the new generations. The film aims at portraying this class through the point of view of the kids. In this way, I intend to tell about a social problematic of my country: the huge social polarization, but from a different point of view that hasn't been much explored so far. At a certain moment in the film, a new character enters the neighborhood; he is the brother of the maid working at the kids' house. The kids' meeting with this character triggers the central theme: How do these kids relate to a world they don't even know?
