Alongside the banks of Rio Ave, the marks of an industrialized periphery have been accumulating, for more than a century, in a region stranded between the rural past and an unknown future. When descending the river, a route rarely navigated, we find the present’s past, a limbo where the experiences of the valley flow freely and patiently and where the traces of a domain become the mirror of the contemporary civilization.
