Ana Poliaks Parapolos is a charming fable that deftly mixes fancy and melancholy as it tells of a young man who comes to work as a pin-setter in a bowling alley that still maintains a number of manually-operated lanes. Ringo is something of a novice, not just a pin-setting, but at life itself. Hes just moved to the city from the countryside, shares a small apartment with his female cousin and is generally suffused wih the idea that life is full of possibilities. Over the course of Parapolos brief, 90-minute running oasis of calm in a chaotic world albeit one escalating danger of extinction.
