Mischka is the appealing and idiosyncratic third film by famed French actor Jean-François Stévenin. When we first see old Mischka, he is in a dressing gown in the boot of his sons family car. Just like the rest of French population, they are heading South at the start of the summer. At a stopping place on the motorway, they lose him, which is quite convenient for them. Mischka ends up in an old peoples home, but fortunately not for long. Gégène, a male nurse, takes a liking to the old man and decides to free him, disguised as his father. This is the start of a road movie in which four people are united by chance: old Mischka, his nurse, a runaway teenager, and a gypsy rock star.
