The Blessing Bell follows the trail of a man who may be the luckiest unlucky person. The factory shutdown leaves Igarashi jobless on his first day of work. As he aimlessly trudges along the road, he encounters a man whom he engages in conversation. Unfortunately, the man drops dead and Igarashi is arrested as a murder suspect. In prison, Igarashi meets another man who speaks to his dead wife.
