This is an impressive documentary about Karakul lambs who are separated from their mothers when they are three days old, and sent off to be slaughtered for their fur, which is highly prized in the world market. In the final scene, the lambs are driven away on a truck. There is no room for sentimentality towards animals in the rough Uzbek wilderness.
