Awarded with five Oscars the family saga HOW GREEN WAS MY VALLEY follows 60 year old Huw Morgan who leaves the by coalmining devastated valley and remembers his childhood. The mine fed and split the clan, defamation burdened his family, strikes and exploitation formed the lives of the miners. Impressively and with a lot of local color the movie based on Richard Llewellyn’s book describes the tough life of simple men at the end of the 19th century in South Wales.
