Beshkempir seems a child like any other. On the threshold of adolescence, he feels the first stirrings of sexuality and love for the neighbours' daughter, which however remain undeclared. One day, some disturbing news brings his happy life to a brutal end: Beshkempir learns from his friends that he isn't his parents' «biological» child.
He is desperate. If his mother isn't his mother and his father isn't his father, Beshkempir tells himself, then he's nobody at all. But he forces himself to overcome the problems inherent in this new situation.
