Based on the mosaics in the Villa Romana del Casale in Sicily (320.A.D) 320 FILOSOFIANA tells the story of the decline of the humanities. It deals with forced relocation by pointing out omissions and digging into Max Weber’s “The decay of ancient civilization”. The images are juxtaposed by Peter Ablinger’s music – a reference to Theodor W. Adorno’s and Hanns Eisler’s book “Composing for the Films”.
