A film that attempts to connect with the dead in different ways: exploring the liminal spaces of a new city, summoning up memories recorded long ago, remembering a Luis Alberto Spinetta song in silence. Images of a freezing Montreal speak of vast distances. Is beauty possible when it’s cold outside? When you are from the south, it’s hard to tell. Warm memories of home take over. They all make room for the voice of a person who is long gone. The dead are always with us; they inhabit every space, and their loss occupies all of time. (Lucía Salas)
