UNDR

Kamal Aljafari’s UNDR is a collage of archival material from diferent sources and periods. The filmmaker explores the historical siege under which Palestinians have lived for too many decades. The aerial, detached perspective of many images evokes unrelenting surveillance. Meanwhile, the beauty and shape of the landscape is eroded by constant
detonations. Even innocent moments that seem at odds with the general selection acquire a metaphorical meaning due to the weight of the images that surround them. (Cristina Álvarez López)
