Some of You Fucked Eva

At the centre of Lili Grasmug’s SOME OF YOU FUCKED EVA is a strange episode of collective hysteria or psychosis among a group of cheerleaders at an American high school. Using visual archives sourced from YouTube and various adolescent voices functioning as narrators, Grasmug builds a fiction traversed by disquieting events and recollections, unresolved enigmas and ghostly implications. The film manages to evoke the familiar imaginary of teen movies in their darkest and most secretive manifestations, creating an atmosphere rich in portentous omens. (Cristina Álvarez López)
