Régime sans pain
Out of a music video, Ruiz developed this science-fiction film that flows like a stream of consciousness. In a speech, King Jason III mentions the declining satisfaction of his people. Thus his death in a ritual car accident is predetermined. He quickly gives up his power and flees to an area for Catholic immigrants, meets a paralyzed librarian who adores him and a Frankenstein-like professor who produces kings, and then he finds himself involved in a Proust discussion. Freely associating, Ruiz hallucinates a dystopian world in which we delightedly wander and eventually get lost. (Maria Marchetta)
