With a fresh, witty tone that combines elements of Jan Svankmajer and Nanni Moretti, the film explores the unexpected fantasies that can be sparked by random objects. A man named Zoki is kicking around a Croatian garbage dump and discovers a personal microcassette from a girl named Petra. After securing a device to listen to the tape, Zoki begins to imagine where Petra may be now. Bezinović and Pipal employ stop-motion animation to extract whimsy from time’s malodorous discard pile.
