Oder vielleicht doch „West of Rome“, revisited? Denn wie in John Fantes Novelle (die hier visuell zitiert wird) nehmen uns Lertxundi und Ebel in ihrem tagebuchartigen Patchwork-Film voller Entdeckerfreude, Neugier und Mut zum Risiko auf das nahegelegene Feld der „invisible little labors“ mit. In ihren „Field Recording“-Miniaturen blicken wir mit kindlicher Unschuld aber auch dem Bewusstsein der Fragilität des (nicht nur menschlichen) Zusammenlebens auf eine analoge Welt, Laufstreifen, Schrammen und Kratzer inklusive.
