Media partners of all sorts are accompanying the Viennale and contribute to an intensive communication about the festival. Some are producing special editions and formats for the festival, which we would like to present to you here.
Viennale-Standard in 4 issues
The daily newspaper DER STANDARD produces four special supplements to accompany this year's festival, in which the festival and its programme are reported daily. Publication dates: October 17, October 22, October 24 and October 29. Online, the daily newspaper reports in detail about the festival under derStandard.at/Viennale and provides users with many important programme tips in addition to the print edition.
Viennale-Falter
The Falter supplement contains, alongside short descriptions and screening times for all films, informative background articles on the festival and its guests.

The celluloid Filmmagazin Viennale Special 2026
The special edition with in-depth stories and interviews about the program as well as a practical schedule. In addition, the daily accompaniment of the festival with reviews and reports on celluloid-filmmagazin.com.

The October issue of ray Filmmagazin features a V'26 focus. During the festival, ray authors publish their experiences, impressions and film reviews live from Viennale events online.

Ö1-breakfast films and reporting on Ö1
Ö1 dedicates two breakfast films to the audience on Wed, October 28 and Mon, November 2 at 6.30 am each in the Gartenbaukino (more information HERE). Ö1 will also accompany the festival with detailed reports in the "Morgenjournal", "Mittagsjournal" and "Kulturjournal", as well as the Ö1 Kulturtalk about the V'26 on Sun, October 25 at 6.15 pm.
FM4
"FM4 Homebase Spezial" (Wed, October 28, from 8 pm to 10 pm) and online coverage on fm4.orf.at/viennale. Raffles on FM4 and fm4.orf.at. The station also dedicates the film CLUB KID (R: Jordan Firstman, USA 2026) to the audience.
Viennale - ORF Reporting
The ORF film editorial team will report extensively on the Viennale in a special broadcast (Viennale Spezial on Sun, October 25, ORF 2), on “kulturMontag” (on Mon, October 19, ORF 2), as well as on “matinee” (on Sun, October 18) and “Kulturzeit” on 3sat, while also covering the festival continuously in various editions of “ZIB”.
ORF Wien
The ORF Vienna regional studio will feature several detailed Viennale programme recommendations on “Wien heute” (daily at 7 pm, ORF 2), a live broadcast from the opening gala at the Gartenbaukino (Thu, October 22), as well as ongoing coverage of the festival – also on air on Radio Wien, frequencies 89.9 | 95.3.
Viennale-Diary at INFOSCREEN
For many years, the festival has been accompanied by INFOSCREEN, the medium in public space, via the popular Viennale-Diary. From Wed October 14 INFOSCREEN reports on current film highlights, specials, DJs and discussions of the V'26.
W24
Vienna’s city broadcaster W24 will provide daily coverage of the Viennale, as well as an interview with Viennale Director Eva Sangiorgi, film recommendations from her, and a special edition of the programme “Wiener Bühnen”. Livestream and media library at w24.at.
