Born in 1992 in Vila Franca de Xira, Portugal, is a Portuguese cinematographer and director. Her family has roots in the local Romani community. She graduated in Directing and Cinematography from the National Film School (ESTC) in Lisbon and went on to complete a master's degree in Audiovisual Art and Multimedia. Her student film RHOMA ACANS (2012) won awards at a number of festivals including Clermont-Ferrand, Munich and IndieLisboa. Her next short film BALADA DE UM BATRÁQUIO was invited into the Official Competition of the Berlin International Film Festival and won the Golden Bear award as 'Best Short Film' in 2016.
