Born in Landsberg on the Warta River, Germany, in 1940. From 1965 on he has been shooting short films. With 48 STUNDEN BIS ACAPULCO he created his first feature film in 1967. With ROCKER he shot a cult film about the Hamburg rocker milieu in the early seventies in 1971. The Viennale showed ROCKER and SCHMUTZIGER SÜDEN 2010 within the context of a Special Evening.
