Born in 1959 in Lindenhurst, New York. Studied at the Massachusetts College of Art in Boston and at the Purchase Film School of the State University in New York. After several short films his movie THE UNBELIEVABLE TRUTH (1989) was an international success and he established himself as one of the most important independent directors of the nineties.
