Chong Keat Aun is a Malaysian Chinese director, antique collector and community arts project curator. In 2011, he won the “Seri Angkasa National Award”, and was the first Malaysian Chinese broadcaster to obtain this honour. In 2017, his short film “Cemetery of Courtesy” was nominated for the 22nd Busan Film Festival – Wide Angle Category. In 2018, THE STORY OF SOUTHERN ISLET won Taipei Golden Horse Film Project Promotion in “Digital Content Award”. In 2020, Chong Keat Aun won the Best New Director award for his debut feature, THE STORY OF SHOUTHERN ISLET, at the 57th Golden Horse Awards in Taipei. The film was also honored Best Film by NETPAC and FIPRESCI Prize. His second feature film project WU YUE XUE won the Taipei Golden Horse FPP 2020 in “CNC Cash Award”.
