Alex Kranabetter goes beyond the boundaries of conventional trumpet playing and creates music existing somewhere between free improvization and electroacoustic sound art. As part of the experimental duo drank, he works with Ingrid Schmoliner to explore new sonic territories. Their joint album Breath in Definition was released in 2025 and showcases Kranabetter's ability to navigate between different musical contexts. His work combines narrative film music with experimental improvisation.
