Hong Kong indie mainstay Vincent Chui plays out the complex feelings Hong Kongers have for their city in three connected stories: a sexually liberal college graduate residing in America thinks about his birthplace and his father on quiet nights; a pastor questions his faiths position in a materialistic society; and an editor with a wishy-washy attitude towards sentimentalist reporting, harboring the scars of June 4th. The financial crisis in 1997 proves to be a turning point in the lives of these characters in ways they never imagined: Stay if you can, leave if you must.
