Following American patterns, <i>Frau Dorothys Bekenntnis</i> by director Michael Kertész features horse-back pursuits across level-crossings, thundering locomotives, automobile races and mass scenes. Eventually, however, the narration is just a classical whodunit. Faced with the investigating committee, Dorothy Carleton, the murderer, claims to have nothing to confess, before eventually explaining her destiny and doom.
