1970: All peoples on earth are living in harmony. Scientists discover a magnetic spool containing a message from Venus that refers to an attack. An international commission sends an expedition to Venus, with a crew which includes a chess-playing robot. On Venus, they discover the ruins of a very advanced civilization that fell victim to its own destructive impulses. The sets, especially those representing the dead Venusian city. the weird landscapes and angry volcanoes are Anatol Radzinowicz best work.
