Issa, a young boy who has been witness to the murder of his father, leaves his village after his father's burial ceremony. Together with his relatively young mother, Sanam, Issa goes to live with his aunt, Zahra. While Sanam is trying to bring to justice her husband's murderers, Issa who imagines no one can understand him, tries to discover the truth about his father's life and death. In fact, mother and son are pursuing identical goals without having a common ground of understanding.
