PASS THE GRAVY
Fred L. Guiol
USA 1928

A masterly example of Max Davidson's patently Jewish film farces, Pass the Gravy is one of the funniest silent comedies ever made. When a prize rooster ends up as a roast dinner on Max's table, about to be served to its innocent owner, desperate comic pantomime ensues.
Piano accompaniment by Gerhard Gruber.
This film is part of the special program [film:3004Laughing 'til It Hurts[/film] dedicated to Manny Farber (1917-2008).
