LIFE FOR A CHILD

Diabetes is emerging as one of the most serious health problems of our time; a global epidemic with devastating human, social and economic consequences. An alarming fact is that the disease claims as many lives per year as AIDS.
While making this film I realized that diabetes touches everyone - either through family or someone we know. I was humbled by these families' and children's great strength and courage in overcoming their obstacles in dealing with diabetes. (Ed Lachman)
