Won-Sang lives modestly, working part-time as a plumber and renting a room from Ahn Hye-Ok, who struggles to keep her troubled family together. He plans to further his studies in England but his dream begins to crumble when his girlfriend dumps him for another man. He starts writing for a magazine, only to find that the publisher is the very man who has stolen his girlfriend from him. Jealousy and curiosity impel him to stay, and slowly he wins the trust of the publisher, Yun-Sik, and becomes his personal assistant. His world begins to fall apart completely when Yun-Siks increasing demands for his assistance results in him failing his exams, his ex-girlfriend threatens to reveal him to his boss and worst of all Yun-Sik begins to take an interest in his new love.
