A man from the big city goes to a distant canyon to commit suicide. There is no sign of anguish or desperation, only distance and calm. Interposed by chance appears Ascen, an old woman who lives in the canyon. As a part of the landscape she knows each and everyone of its inhabitants, the animals, the stones, the trees and their shades, the skies, the whole earth. The saving encounter is possible thanks to the instinct of love. In the canyon, the earth is as big as the sky. Japón shows us the human greatness and fragility gathered in our nature which we believe is lost but which lives within every one of us.
