In a half forgotten cafeteria on an arterial road of the Parisian suburbs the fates of a handful strange characters intersect with each other. Each and every one of them is in their own criminal way of approaching money, but the kidnapping attempts, robberies and thieveries end up quite miserable. Samuel Benchetrits melancholic gangster film is a kind of retro-fairy tale in black and white with a touch of Hollywood stories and trashy novels, an affectionate but funny work about a couple of tragicomic crooks and their more than unjust fate. Among the actors the legendary singer Alain Bashung and the great Jean Rochefort, Laurent Terzieff and Jean-Pierre Kalfon. A kind of <![CDATA[<i>]]>Ocean’s Thirteen<![CDATA[</i>]]> for the poor.
